T Stands for…… travelling back in time…..

We have been away recently but I am taking you back to some gardens we visited a couple of weeks ago! (Our caravan garden is here.)
We returned from our caravan on that occasion to meet up with some of our family for a Mother's day outing! My eldest had found out about a garden that we had never visited not so far way from where we live - Abbeywood Gardens. I think it is mainly an attraction as a wedding venue and for the restaurant/tea room. The formal gardens are beautiful and as well as that there is a woodland area and an arboretum planted with new trees.
There is also a small play area in front of the house that is used by wedding guests. This is eldest son with Diesel the Frenchie and middle son with GD on the trampoline!!

There are quite a few animal scupltures around

After the family had left hubby and I went back to the tea room, not just so I could join Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T Stands For Tuesday………

but because we really needed a drink!
We also managed to squeeze in a scone, hubby went for jam and cream while I stuck to butter with mine!
I think we will be back here again in the Summer and Autumn!

The next day, still in a holiday mood as the weather stayed sunny, we decided to visit Dunham Massey before our shopping trip(it is 'sort of' on the way)

It was a lovely calm day
Seeing the Fritillaria was a real treat!

The magnolia trees are well laden.
We had a lovely walk then it was back to the reality of chores!!!

We are hoping to visit a castle later this week with two of our grandchildren!

Have a great week and Happy T Day, Chris

That is a lovely place to visit, loved the wooden animal sculpture,
I think the cuppa would have been very welcome at the end of a walk.
Happy T Day.

I swear you find some of the most beautiful places to visit. This is a gorgeous place, both the grounds and the building.

There is a famous artist who makes sculptures similar to what you showed from old trees. His work is world renown. He uses a chain saw and his work is fantastic. I was impressed with the wood sculpture you showed, too.

Looks like once again, I'm with T on the jam and cream. I can get butter at home. But I'll join you for coffee, rather than T's tea.

Thanks for taking us on this beautiful trip to Abbeywood Gardens and for tea and coffee afterwards this T Tuesday.

BTW, the links are fixed. Hope you read your previous post.

What a beautiful spot. I loved the walkway covered by the pergola. Must be cool and refreshing when the vine fills in and walkway is in shade. I have a sweet tooth so would be reaching for the jam and cream, too. After our April 1 blizzard, the flowers are just starting to poke through so it was lovely to see the flowers and flowering trees.
