A resolution?

Not really, but there are a few things I would like to do this year! One of them is to be more ORGANISED!!! Will it happen? If you know me you will probably say "No!" However, I am going to try! I still need to get stuck in and throw stuff away - I tried last year but there was so much I couldn't part with(not just crafty stuff) now I think I'm ready! Okay boys, if you are reading this I expect you are laughing!
I have had a little help from my friend Joanne (see my previous post) an alongside her notebook I have this..

It is a small notebook from Mujji - the sort I use as a shopping list/reminder book for my handbag.
I used the peeled paint effect for the front cover along with a Tim Holtz Artistry clear stamp set and Paper Artsy Eclectica ESN04 and ESN09 sets by Sara Nauman
The back is done with TH Latticework stencil and the same TH set alongside ESN04 and Paper Artsy Lynne Perrella LPC030.

I intend to record challenges in this book (I find challenges a good way to encourage me to experiment) and with that said I wish to enter this in the following challenges:-

The Artistic Stamper - New beginnings
Thats Crafty Challenge Blog - Blue is the colour

Now I'm off to use this book and start as I mean to go on this year!!

Thanks for looking, Chris

Hi Chris.
I hope you do lots of experimenting....don't forget to show us your results.
Like you, I must declutter this year. Stuff is depressing. There is something about it this week on Woman's Hour .... I think.
Happy new year

I will if you will... The book looks fabulous and is a great idea to keep note of challenges.

Your personal challenge is one I have set for myself. Not so much that I have items to get rid of, more that I need to tackle the organisation of "stuff". Shame on me, I have unmounted stamps that haven't been returned to their packaging, there is a mass of them in a plastic food bag. The shame of it all!
This has a lovely depth to it and so much interest.

Hi Chris, funny really reading this, as there must be something in us at New Year where we want to be tidy and organised - I've just tidied my craft room, bought more storage basket to separate paints etc. Thing is I know it won't last for me... lol :)

Love you book too, it's such a good idea and it does help. The layout is just perfect and I love that stencilling.

Hugs

Oh wow. If the inside of this book holds as much art information as the outside holds art, this is one treasure to be more than proud of.

I try to be organized, but sometimes life gets in the way. Organizing takes time and must be kept up. It's one thing to do it, it's another to keep after it once you have purchased a few new things. I think it's something, including purging, many of us need to do. I wish you loads of luck with that, and would be glad to help if I could.

I think you just get to that point don't you, where suddenly there are certain things you can finally part with!!
Love the little book xx

I have a trip to Ikea planned to get more storage boxes in the pursuit of more organisation... Throwing stuff away - ah, well, that's a different matter!

Love the layered stamping and stencilling on your notebook - the Sara Naumanns look fabulous - and (obviously) the colour. Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Artistic Stamper.

It doesn't seem to matter how much organizing I do, I always feel like it could be better! Even if I built a million dollar craft room, I think I would still be able to improve it! I think I enjoy organizing almost as much as I enjoy crafting, once the organizing is done! HAHA!!

I love your books Chris, great idea for the one to throw in your purse, may follow suit on that one! Cheers, big hugs :)

Wow, Chris, I'm impressed! This is such a good idea and it seems ever so well organized to me! I'm already feeling disorganized and it's only January 5th! What I really need is a pretty notebook like this to remind me to Experiment and to Organize! I love the stamps and the stencilling you have chosen for this - all my favourites! Have a great 2015! xxx

Good luck with the tidying! It's something I think most crafters struggle with. Your notebook is the perfect size for a purse!. Thank you for joining us at Anything But A Card this month..your new beginning is a great one.

Fabulous notebook transformation. I too am trying to get organised - not sure I can throw things away though :) Thanks for joining in at Anything But A Card this time.

Hmmm! Funny that! Seems like the word 'organisation' is one that we crafters are familiar with... but perhaps not quite dealing with as much as we like! This was also one of my decisions for this year. I love your notebook... great idea for your 'new beginning'. Thank you for joining in at Anything But A Card. Cheers, Di
