WOYWW 176

Can't believe a week has passed, but hey! here's my chance to have a look at a whole load of work desks, thanks to Julia, who hosts this whole fantastic link up!
Not a great deal going on at the moment here. I have made a decision to actually use some of my lovely papers and ignore(and possibly pass on) the mountain of somewhat 'iffy' ones! Why on earth did I buy these lovely papers if not to use them! Sooo...I'm using a pad of Prima 'En Francais'(not even that expensive at £4.99) to make some tags/bookmarks.
I'm still working in quite a small space, still in the process of sorting(when I'm here LOL)To the left of my space there is the piece of drift wood I found when out with my grandchildren, going to add to that sometime! On the right is the journal page I started last week. Here it is.
I finished this while away at the caravan.
Anyone who is interested in what I take away with me can see here.
Right off to have a peek at what some of you have been doing - it really is quite impossible to visit everyone isn't it?!
Thanks for looking, Chris

Yes, you got to chuck out the papers you won't use and get on with the good stuff. Driftwood is so useful, can't wait to se what you make with it. I love your round trees...very artistic. Your iffy paper would be welcome at the charity shops.
Have a lovely day. Chris!
If you do a dyeing workshop you will enjoy it India Flint is doing one in Scotland next year.

I love the journal page, it's like an illustration from a children's story - gorgeous!! And I know what you mean abotu keeping things for best, but I don't do that at all now..I used everything all days of the year. Posh crystal, perfume, clothes etc etc get used cos why keep them for that special day? Every day should be like that :)

En Francais - that is a blast from the past. It is great to see what you are doing with it. Thank you for your visit today and your kind comments. You might be interested to know that my desk is now hidden again. Another tidy up required tomorrow, I think. xx Maggie #65

I did manage to visit everyone, twice, before I realised it was not a requirement of joining!! Love that you are sorting through your papers as I am doing exactly the same thing and I am definitely going to use some of my really beautiful papers - at least I think I am...... Love your journal page and that piece of driftwood is lovely too. Crafty hugs, Anne x #41 Thanks for the visit earlier.

I really, really like your journal page with the lollipop trees - it's so evocative of a happy, sunny day in lovely surroundings. That's what I love about journalling...you can look back on pages months, or years later and know just what you felt like, or what triggered the page with very few, or even no words.
Good to have peeks into your new work room too. Nothing like moving to spark a good clear out! You look pretty organised compared to me!
Love and hugs, Lindsay x x x

The journal page is fabulous. Great colours and shapes and brilliant composition. I always work in a small space, even if I have 3 tables. Somehow it always comes down to my craft mat and nothing else!

Thank you so much for stopping by and following me.
Happy WOYWW.

We're all the same when it comes to pretty paper Chris, I have enough to own my own shop I think!! Pretty tags, they'll be lovely when finished. I like the journal page too, my husband was visiting his brother in Kendal for a few days and I know it rained a lot!!

Your tags/bookmarks look lovely indeed, Chris--a great use of that paper! And what fun journal pages!

I don't think I've EVER made it through the whole list, but there are some that do . . . aren't there?

Well done on breaking into that paper. It's so hard when you love it isn't it, but then you'll love what you make with it.

I LOVE what you are doing with those tags! I am making those "background" pages singly and I might bind them into some sort of art journal ... eventually! Happy late WOYWW.

Yes Cris, it is impossible to visit everyone, so do not be stressed about it will you? I really like that you're using up the papers, you'll get so much pleasure from it, and the work out on your desk is yummy.
